Yesterday morning as I walked toward the Justin Arena, a woman came out of the double doors carrying a Styrofoam cup of coffee. She was what we call in Texas, an “ole gal.”

After The Rodeo
The Wookie, Missy J., and I parted company in the parking lot after the rodeo. I veered toward the Cowgirl Hall of Fame where I’d left the van. Ahead of me I saw a white pick-up idling. A cowboy was standing coatless in the night air and I heard tell-tale words.
